Review of Places to Visit if you find yourself in Cape Town

If by mistake or even on purpose you find yourself in Cape Town, here are a few  places you must go to (and I mean MUST):
  1. Table Mountain: I am no fan of hiking but the sight from the top of that mountain is one to behold. If you are a lover of nature and exercise, then that is a place to be. Get a good view of the city and lose a few pounds while you are at it.
  2. Waterfront: This is the classic tourist attraction. There is a mall there to do all your heart’s content shopping and get souvenirs for your loved ones (if you can afford it). There are ship and aeroplane tours to take to get a feeling of the area. If you want to feel any more out of place, stand by the ocean back and take a whiff of the sweet smell of the ocean. Don’t get a cold while you are at it.
  3. Robben Island: The Apartheid struggles is a major part of South Africa. This is made visible and well explained in Robben Island, where political prisoners,  and famous Nelson Mandela was kept. If you are lucky, you will get to meet an actual political prisoner and hear first-hand what they went through to gain independence. It is a 45 minutes boat ride to get there, if you usually get sea sick, well, good luck.
  4. Long Street: For a great Friday night chilling, with friends and maybe a holiday bae, Long street is where to be (for a tourist that is). There are bars, amazing pizza places and of course a club, if that is what you want. Walk up and down the long street and make a choice, there is so much to choose from.
  5. Winery: South Africa is known for great wine, you don’t want to leave the town without having a personal feel of that. There is the Newlands Winery amongst others. For all those wine lovers out there touring the beautiful Cape Town, don’t miss out on that.
